Under the "old rules" you had to be in the classroom for 99 days to apply for the certification bonus.  The statue changed in 2007-08, the new rules are:  (1) hold a valid N.B. certificate in the first 10 years of validity; (2) work full time for the School Board; (3) be evaluated on the teacher performance appraisal instrument; (4) receive an "S" or better on your evaluation annually.
