Subject

Q.  If I am renewing my NBCT certificate, when must I complete the Renewal in order not to have my National Board certificate expire?

Body

You may start the renewal process in your eighth year of National Board Certification.  By the time your certificate expires; you must have documentation from National Board of your renewal in order not to have a lapse in time.  If your National Board certificate is not renewed by the time of expiration, you must “start over” to have a new National Board certificate.  Please visit the NBPTs web site for further information.
